Client access to their own health information

Depending on the state or territory in which a physiotherapist

practises, clients may have a right of access to their own health

records. This often includes a right to view the record, or obtain a

copy. Clients may be charged for the administrative costs involved.

In a limited number of situations, the practice may withhold access

to a client’s own health information. Examples include:

A client may request a correction to their own health information if
